Your settlements, expenses
and tax — in one app.

1. What we collect

We collect the following categories of information through the App:

• Account details — your email address, used for passwordless sign-in (a one-time code), and your name if your clinic has recorded one for you.
• Settlement data from your clinics — the App reads the approved settlement statements (amounts, periods, GST) your clinic has already generated for you in Practishare, from every clinic you work at. It does not read any other clinic data — draft settlements, other practitioners' figures, or anything not yet approved.
• What you enter yourself — expenses (amount, date, category, description, and an optional receipt photo), other income entries, and your tax/super set-aside targets and running log. This data is entered by you and is private to you — no clinic can see it.
• Receipt photos — stored privately, accessible only to you, if you attach one to an expense.

2. How we use it

We use this information solely to provide the App's own features to you: showing your settlement statements, calculating your BAS worksheet and P&L, and tracking your tax/super set-aside pace against what you've logged. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell it.

3. Who can see what

Access is scoped per practitioner: you can only ever read your own settlement statements, your own expenses, and your own income and tax/super entries — never another practitioner's, and never a clinic's own broader accounting data. A clinic can see the settlements it has approved for you (the same document it generated), but cannot see anything you enter yourself in the App — your expenses, other income, and tax/super tracking are yours alone.

4. Third parties we share data with

The App is built on the same infrastructure as Practishare:

• Supabase — our database and authentication provider, which stores the data described above and sends the one-time sign-in codes on our behalf.
• Your clinic's own systems — the settlement statements the App shows you originate from your clinic's Practishare account, which in turn may be connected to their practice management software and accounting software (see Practishare's general Privacy Policy, Section 3) — the App itself only ever reads the finished statement, not those upstream systems directly.

We do not otherwise share personal information with third parties, except where required by law or with your consent.

5. Data storage and security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including access controls that scope every request to your own signed-in identity, and encryption of data in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data retention and deleting your account

You can permanently delete your PractiTax account at any time, directly in the App — open Settings → Delete my account. This immediately and permanently deletes everything you've entered (expenses, other income, tax/super tracking, receipt photos) and your sign-in itself, so you can no longer sign back in with that email. Your clinics' own settlement records are not affected — those are the clinic's accounting records, not the App's, and remain subject to Practishare's own retention obligations (for example, financial records required to be kept for several years under Australian tax law).

You can also request deletion by emailing us at the address in Section 8 — we'll action it the same way.

7. Children's privacy

PractiTax is intended for use by adult practitioners, and is not directed at, marketed to, or intended for use by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
